Sales Engineer

We are looking for a result-driven Sales Engineer/Manager to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. Provide Sales Coverage in a defined sales territory (Domestic) to different industrial sector users. The Area Sales Engineer/Manager will be working very closely with the various internal Product Specialists, Field Service and Inside Sales Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:  
  1. Maintaining the call frequency with the customer on a regular basis to grow the business
  2. Achieve sales and order booking targets set for the region allocated
  3. Building relationship with the customer by maintaining high ethical standards
  4. Retaining old customers and generating new business
  5. Support finance for any issues related to payment, collection of statutory forms
  6. Coordinating with Service Department to resolve issues related to after Sales Service
  7. Maintains active communications with respective in-house personnel
  8. Maintaining a periodic and continuous report on performance of supplied products
  9. Represents all product lines assigned on each customer visit
  10. Communicates customer visits in writing via CRM reports in an established timely and consistent manner
  11. Assure customer satisfaction throughout the territory
  12. Maintain established customer base, develop new relationships and opportunities
  13. Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of key account sales strategies and tactics


Candidate should possess the following

Eligibility Criteria :

  1. B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  2. 3+ years of relevant experience
  3. Must have good knowledge of the geographical region and spoken fluency in the local/regional language.
  4. Must have the working knowledge of product (centrifugal pumps)
  5. Knowledge of the process industry market and Non-Process End User market like Power Plants, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals & Fertilizers etc. would be preferred.
  6. Hands-on experience of Centrifugal Pumps would be an added advantage.
  7. Should possess good skills and ability to independently handle English communications with customers and internal stakeholders.
